Servo Driven Injection Moulding Machine

BOLE EKS SERIES

First launched in 2010, the EK series of servo-driven hydraulic toggle machines took a team of 60 dedicated professionals three years to develop.  Models range from 100 to 4000 tonnes locking force and have been continually improved and perfected over subsequent years. The EKII range was released in 2016, with the current EKS series made available to the market in 2018.

Thanks to over sixty technical innovations combined with servo-driven pumps and a unique central clamping structure, the EK series of servo driven moulding machines achieves and sometimes surpasses the standard set by European counterparts.  This applies equally to the levels of technical ability, productivity and energy efficiency that have been achieved.

BOLE EKS-ECO SERIES

The ECO energy-saving series, equipped with BOLE’s latest electric screw drive, enables energy savings of up to 35% during the plasticising phase, and over an 18% saving in total machine energy consumption, compared to traditional machines of the same tonnage.

Available in sizes ranging between 100 and 1000 tonnes locking force, the BOLE EKS-ECO range is the natural choice for customers looking to reduce energy usage and increase the sustainability of their moulding process.

The screw speed of the ECO energy-saving machine is constant, which improves product stability, saves cycle time, and improves overall efficiency. With all available ECO features, customers can expect to save at least 25% in energy consumption when compared with a traditional machine of the same tonnage and screw diameter.

Key Features

 Central Clamping Structure

  • Eliminates external bending and keeps locking force parallel to the centre of the mould. This protects moulds and improves accuracy.
  • Avoids product flash when small moulds are used in large machines.
  • Reduces the tonnage required (tonnage loss due to deflection), this, in turn, reducing the load on the pump and lowering energy consumption.
  • Completely overcomes the deformation of platens due to the deployment of balanced forces.
  • Ejector stroke is not limited by toggles; easier for installation and maintenance.
  • Opening stroke increased by 10-20%+

Floating tie bars

Floating tie-bars offer a distinct advantage over tradition tie-bar design. Less direct contact between tie-bars and the mould reduces spring deformation, increases clamping precision, and protects platens and moulds. EKS models between 100 and 1000 tonnes locking force use this design feature in combination with support of the moving platen using precision linear guides, further reducing friction and improving rigidity and cleanliness.

Servo-driven injection moulding machine

Through the utilisation of advanced servo-drive systems, energy consumption is significantly reduced. Servo-motors are used in conjunction with hydraulic pumps to provide a solution that is both high in energy savings and cost-efficient.

Energy consumption can be reduced from 40% up to 80% when compared to some fully hydraulic moulding machines. The lower cooling requirements associated with a servo-motor system also extends the service life of hydraulic oil, as well as reducing the required cooling capacity of the machine’s heat exchange system.

Efficiency

The unique design of the Central Clamping Structure, coupled with the advantages of servo-motor technology can help the user see a 2-5% saving in material usage, along with up to 80% reductions in energy consumption.
